QPrize

The QPrize by QMagazine is the annual award aimed at companies, institutions, and tourist destinations that have distinguished themselves in that year for investing in marketing and communication activities to support sustainability and social inclusion or for adopting specific DE&I policies, with particular attention to the LGBTQ+ community.

Born in 2010, when in Italy there wasn’t much discussion about LGBTQ+ tourism yet, to give voice and prestige to the companies and institutions in the tourism sector that more than others stood out for their commitment in creating services and advertising dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community. Thanks to the immediately success, it has become established across the Italian panorama as a fixed appointment, every year in a different prestigious location in the gay tourism capital of Italy, Milan. From the Straff Hotel, to Terrazza Martini or the Grand Hotel de Milan… just to name a few.

The QPrize has become an increasingly prominent award with international recognition, thanks also to the collaboration and partnership with companies and organizations operating worldwide such as the international certification body RINA, ELTA – European LGBTQ+ Travel Alliance, AITGL – Italian LGBTQ+ Tourism Board, or IGLTA – International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association.

IGLTA Convention

In 2022, QMagazine was a media partner of the IGLTA Global Convention on LGBTQ+ Tourism in Milan. It organized the pre-opening reception at Terrazza Martini in partnership with PinkMedia, with the main sponsorship of ITA Airways and the sponsorship of Sonders&Beach and RINA. On this occasion, the QPrize 2022 was held, and it saw the participation of over 200 delegates from around the world.
