Great success at ENIT (Italian Tourist Board) webinar for LGBTQ+ italian destinations!
On June 23rd Quiiky Italia tour operator went online with a special webinar about Italy and revealed the beauty of a country which is eager to be back on track.
The audience, consisting of American and Canadian tour operators, fed back with great interest and a concrete will to make people travel to Italy. Many were surprised about the number of opportunities that lgbtq+ history offers in the country. From Milan to Catania, guests can discover the huge heritage left by the gay community and how it was influenced by Greek and Roman history. Nevertheless, this is something going further than the travel experience. It means to discover the roots of LGBTQ+ identity, to become aware of how important it has been, and still is, to be different.
Great success of Italy as a wedding destination, too. Apulia has astonished everyone, with its growing market for the lesbian community in the Itria Valley, north of Brindisi. Apulia is a great opportunity, if you are thinking of celebrating your wedding anniversary or a symbolic wedding ceremony. You can celebrate in terrific ‘masserias’ more alike boutique hotels and make your guests experience the ‘trulli’, typical farmers’ houses, now converted into comfortable apartments.
An injection of faithfulness and trust to this beautiful country: no matter what has happened, the LGBTQ+ community has expressed true loyalty and support: those who chose Italy for their next trip confirmed the destination, even in case they will travel not before 2021.
