Italy is home to a thriving LGBTQ+ community whose history stretches back for centuries. From the ancient Greek and Roman soldiers to the merchants of Venice, the queer beaches of Sicily, to modern day Rome, there’s so much LGBTQ+ history and LGBTQ+ Pride in Italy. Today, almost all of the major cities and destinations in Italy celebrate their local LGBTQ+ gay community with gay Pride events and festivals.

Outside of the major events, there are many ways to connect with the local LGBTQ+ community and feel the spirit of gay Pride in Italy. Quiiky, an LGBTQ+ tour operator in Italy, has an incredible lineup of multi-day tours, single-day experiences, and untold history tours throughout the country that give you a little slice of Italy’s local LGBTQ+ community that you won’t find anywhere else. So while you’re traveling for Pride this summer, we’ve also included some great ways go beyond the surface and feel immersed in Italy’s local culture.
